Athlete of the Month

For the second time this season, Dennis Norford has been named Fisher College Athletic of the Month for January.  Norford became the all-time career leader in rebounds at Fisher College with a 10-rebound effort versus Daemen College. 

 In nine games in January, Norford collected 121 rebounds, an average of 13.4 per contest.  With his 10 rebounds against Daemen, Norford surpassed Oscar Brown’s ’11 career total of 776.  Through 98 career games, Norford has pulled down 832 rebounds, good for 8.5 per game.  During his senior season, he is averaging a career best 12.04 rebounds a game. 
Earlier this season Norford became the 7th Falcon to score 1000 career points.  He currently has 1356 total points, averaging 13.8 points per game over his career.

In January, Norford averaged 20 points, 13.44 rebounds, 3.44 assists and 1.78 steals per games.

Junior Pamela Bounkhoune has been named Fisher College Female Athlete of the Month for her efforts in 10 games in January.  The 5’5” point guard averaged 15.2 points per game with handing out 5.2 assists per contest.  She reached a season high 23 points in two different games, once versus Wilberforce and the other against University of Maine- Presque Isle.

She grabbed a career high 10 rebounds on January 11th versus Fitchburg State University and a career high seven steals versus Carlow University on the 28th of January.

Bounkhoune currently ranks 7th in NAIA Division II Basketball with 124 total assists.  Her 4.59 assist per game makes her 11th best in the nation while she stands at 49th best in total scoring with 358 points.
