Falcon Athletes Gain Conference Honors
Women's Soccer
Sophomore goalkeeper Deanna Morency was awarded American Mideast Conference 2nd Team honors. Despite playing only eight games in goal for the Falcons, Morency was able to set a school record with 140 saves on the year. Deanna finished the regular season ranked 6th in the nation with an average of 10 saves per game and 12th in NAIA Division 1 in total saves with 140.
Men's Soccer
John Del Valle, a junior at Fisher, earned a place on the American Mideast Conference 2nd team after a record setting season. Del Valle finished the season with 226 total saves, setting a new Fisher College record. The performance ranks him 2nd all-time in NAIA history for saves in a season. Del Valle finished 1st in saves in season (226) and saves per game (15.7).
Women's Basketball
Sophomore Javanna Bernard led the American Mideast Conference with 20.20 points per game and her efforts earned her 2nd Team All-AMC honors. Bernard finished 6th in NAIA Division II in points per game and 10th overall in total scoring.
Junior Pamela Bounhkoune earned Honorable Mention recognition after finishing 12th in the country in assists per game and 22nd in total assist. Bounhkoune finished the year with 4.64 points per game, best in the conference.
Men's Basketball
Senior Dennis Norford nabbed 2nd Team All-AMC honors during his record setting senior season. The 6'4" forward set a new Fisher College record with 876 career rebounds. He finished 3rd on the career scoring list with 1419 points. Norford led all of NAIA Division II basketball with 12.74 rebounds per games an all set the mark with 369 total rebounds. Norford was 2nd in the conference with 18.93 points per contest in finished in the top 5 in total scoring (549), field goal percentage (.528), and steals (43). Norford also finished best in the nation with 23 double-doubles.
Baseball
Fisher's Baseball team was the only sport to make postseason play in the American Mideast Conference. The Falcons finished 2nd in the AMC before losing in the conference tournament to eventual World Series participant Point Park University. Junior pitcher Casey Reed and sophomore outfield Eridani Dume were selected to the AMC 1st Team. Reed finished with a 3-5 record and a 3.30 earned run average. The 3.30 era was 4th best in the AMC and a career best. Eridani Dume finished 2nd in the NAIA with 44 stolen bases on the year, and new Fisher single season record. His .322 batting average was best on the team and 7th best in the conference.
The Falcons had six players make the 2nd Team including senior Michael Flynn; juniors Jose Paulino and Ronnie Rosario; sophomores Davidson Peguero and Victor Lebron; and freshman Dominic Zaher.
