  • Smith Named as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Monday that 175 Division II men’s basketball student-athletes have been named 2016-17 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Mayville State (N.D.) led all schools with seven students earning the honor. Brodric Smith was the lone men's basketball player from Fisher College to receive this award.
  • Fisher College Head Men’s Basketball Coach Lindberg Retires Following 12 Seasons

    Boston, MA – Fisher College Interim Athletic Director Robert Melaragni has announced Men’s Head Basketball Coach David Lindberg is stepping down, following 12 season of leading his team. Coach Lindberg’s decision comes following another successful season for the Falcons, who went 20-9; the team was among those to compete in the AII League Tournament and was eliminated in the quarter final round of play.
  • Two Falcons Receive Post Season Honors

    POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – Senior guard Kyle Holmes was named the the Second Team All-Conference at the A.I.I. Conference Tournament Awards Banquet. Holmes finished the season with 617 points in 28 games. He made 207 field goals, 91 3-pointers, and 112 free throws. Throughout the season, Holmes grabbed 202 rebounds and added 79 assists. Junior transfer DeAndre Pennington was also awarded with the Champions of Character Award.
  • Falcons Close out Season in A.I.I. Conference Tournament

    POINTLOOKOUT, MO.-- The Fisher College men's basketball team finished their season February 24 at the A.I.I. Conference Tournament hosted by the College of the Ozarks. The Falcons finished their season with a 20-9 record after the 64-52 loss to Central Christian College.

    The Association of Independent Institutions announced the tournament field for the 2017 A.I.I. Division II Men's Basketball Conference Championships. The six team tournament will be held February 24-26 on the campus of College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. Fisher College's men's basketball team stands at 19-8 at the time post season teams were announced. The Falcons played a strenuous schedule this season with three NCAA Division I schools including Harvard, Cornell, and UMass. Lowell.

    PROVIDENCE, RI. – The Johnson & Wales University men’s basketball team had several chances to complete a last-minute comeback against Fisher but couldn’t come through in crunch time. The Wildcats dropped 70-66 decision to the Falcons on Wednesday.
  • Seniors Dominate in Final Home Game

    LYNN, MASS. -- Four out of seven seniors scored double digit points in their final home game of the season on Wednesday evening. Senior Kyle Holmes led the Falcons with 43 points while grabbing 7 rebounds in the 102-84 victory. Fisher College improved to 18-8 with the victory while Vermont Technical College (VTC) dropped under .500 (13-14) with their loss.

    WORCESTER, Mass. – Fisher College’s senior guard Kyle Holmes (Hamden, Conn.) registered a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the visiting Falcons to a 79-49 non-conference win over Worcester State Monday night inside the Lancer Gymnasium.

    LYNN, MASS. -- The Fisher College men's basketball team took their second victory from Dean College in nail-biting fashion. In their first match-up, the Falcons won 84-82 in regulation time and on Thurday evening the Falcons took a 78-75 victory from the Bulldogs. With their victory, Fisher improves to 15-8 on the season while Dean falls to 12-10.

    LYNN, Mass. -- In the second time meeting this season, the Falcons stole a victory from the University of Maine- Fort Kent after losing to them in the first meeting. The Falcons improve to 13-7 on the season with the 77-70 victory of the Bengals who drop to 16-4.

    Lynn, Mass. -- Seniors Kyle Holmes and Malik Wilson power the Falcons over the Fighting Saints in the last seconds of the game for a 76-73 victory. With the victory, the Falcons improved to 12-7 on the season while the College of Saint Joseph (CSJ) falls to 7-10.
  • Kyle Holmes hit 1,000th point in 87-60 victory

    LYNN, MASS. – Senior guard Kyle Holmes stole the show in tonight's 87-60 victory against SUNY Delhi. Holmes was heading into the game with just 18-points left to reach 1,000 points. Hitting 14 points in the first half, Holmes was just two shots away from hitting his benchmark. He made a jumper 2 minutes into the second half, but with 10 minutes left in the game he netted a 3-pointer to slightly go over 1,000 points.
  • Falcons squeak by Bulldogs 84-82

    Franklin, MASS.- Dean College Men's Basketball fell to Fisher College 84-82 in a tightly contested contest at Pieri Gym in Franklin. The Bulldogs were outscored 12-4 in the final 3 and a half minutes as Fisher took the lead and held on for the win.

With the victory, the Falcons improve to 8-6 on the season while New Rochelle drops to 5-8 on their season.

The Big Red improved to 4-11 heading into Ivy League play, while the Falcons fell to 7-6 on the year.

    North Adams, MA- Led by All Tournament team selections Keiland Cross and Joe Wiggins, the MCLA Men's Basketball team rallied back from a 15 point halftime deficit and then held off the visiting Fisher College Falcons 82-79 in overtime to claim the 2016 Tri State Shootout championship. Cross was named the tournament's most outstanding player after collecting 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists in the title clinching game.

    North Adams, MA- Fisher's Kyle Holmes exploded for 32 points in leading the Falcons past the Southern Vermont Men's Basketball team 85-81 in a fast paced game in the Tri State Shootout. With the win, the Falcons (7-2) advance to face MCLA in the Championship game at 4pm tomorrow while the Mountaineers (2-7) will take on RPI in the consolation game at 2pm.

    (Nashua, N.H.) The 24th annual Rivier University Tip-Off Tournament has officially come to a close and it was the Falcons of Fisher College who took home the Championship plaque with a 70-53 win over Rivier for their first Tip-Off Tournament title. Senior Kyle Holmes (Hamden, Conn.) of Fisher was named the tournament MVP after totaling 43 points and 18 rebounds in the two tournament wins.

    Fisher was able to overcome an 11-point deficit with less than 10 minutes remaining as they snuck past Lesley University, 88-82 in the night’s final game and advance to the Championship game tomorrow.
