The Association of Independent Institutions announced the tournament field for the 2017 A.I.I. Division II Men's Basketball Conference Championships. The six team tournament will be held February 24-26 on the campus of College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri.
Fisher College's men's basketball team stands at 19-8 at selection time with one regular season game remaining. The Falcons played a strenuous schedule this season with three NCAA Division I schools including Harvard, Cornell, and UMass. Lowell.
Joining host College of the Ozarks are Rochester College (Rochester Hills, Mich.), Washington Adventist University (Takoma Park, Md.), Central Christian College (McPherson, Kan.), Indiana University Northwest (Gary, Ind.) and Fisher College (Boston, Mass.).
The tournament will begin with the quarterfinals on Friday, February 24. Fourth seeded College of the Ozarks will take on fifth seeded Indiana University Northwest at 5pm CST. At 7pm, third seeded Central Christian College will take on the sixth seed, Fisher College. The winner of the first quarterfinal between College of the Ozarks and Indiana University Northwest will advance to face top-seeded Rochester College on Saturday at 5pm CST. The other semifinal on Saturday at 7pm CST will feature the winner of Central Christian College versus Fisher College taking on the second seed Washington Adventist University.
The Championship game will be on Sunday, February 26 at 4pm CST. All contests will take place at the Keeter Center on the College of the Ozarks Campus just outside of Branson, Missouri.
