Player Of The Week

Mitchell Lundholm - Baseball Week of March 7-14 - Junior first baseman, Mitchell Lundholm, is this week's Player of the Week for his play over the last seven games. On the team's Spring Break trip, Lundholm has batted .407 (11 for 27), has had four multiple hit games, while tallying eight RBI's, five runs scored, and a homerun. He is currently riding a four-game hit streak, and has hit safely in all but three games this season. The first baseman has also played flawless defense as he has yet to make an error this season, completing 45 out of 45 chances at his position on the Spring break trip.
Reynaldo Mejia - Baseball Week of Feb 27 - Mar 6 - This week's Player of the Week is sophomore catcher Reynaldo Mejia (Lawrence, MA). The Falcons had one game over the week, a 12-5 comeback win over the Newbury Nighthawks. In the game, Mejia went 4 for 5 at the plate, with a double, 2 RBI's and a run scored. He also threw out the only baserunner attempting a steal, and now has thrown out 5 out of 8 steal attempts for an astounding 61%.
Jose Galan - Baseball Week of Feb 14 - 21- This week's Player of the Week is Falcons pitcher Jose Galan (Alta, Puerto Rico). The Junior made his first appearance of the season in the 9-4 win over the Anna Maria Amcats to open up the spring campaign. In four innings of relief, Galan faced 16 batters, allowing just four hits, while striking out eight while earning his first save in his Falcons career. The Amcats were held to a .250 batting average against the hurler, and gave up just two walks.
