Lynn, MA -- The Lady Falcons scored a season high eight runs but the offensive output wasn't enough as they dropped the first game of a doubleheader with the SUNY Canton Roos, 14-8. With the loss the Lady Falcons fall to 0-12 on the year while the Roos improve to 6-11.
Freshman Jayla Vega pitched all seven innings for the Lady Falcons, allowing 13 hits and five earned runs. Fisher's four errors on the afternoon led to an additional nine runs for the Roos, forcing the game out of reach for Fisher.
Vega also paced the offense for the Lady Falcons, going 2-4. From the lead off spot, Vega had one RBI and two runs scored. Freshmen Emily Smith and Cassy Pillard also had two hits in the game.
SUNY Canton had four different players with multiple hits, including Nicole Mulieri and Andrea Rogers' three hits each.
The two teams square off again in the 2nd game of the doubleheader. First pitch is schedule for 2:30PM.
