ORLANDO, FL – The Fisher College women's softball team kicked off their spring trip at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex with a pair of losses in a doubleheader against John A. Logan College of Carterville, IL.
Game 1. John A. Logan College 12, Fisher College 0
The Volunteers came out firing with 10 runs in the top of the first that included back-to-back-to-back home runs. Morgan Selmi (Rohnert Park, CA) claimed Fisher's first hit of the day with a single to left in the top of the first. The Falcons gave up two more runs in the top of third from a two-run home run courtesy of the Volunteers. Jade Bracero (Hoboken, NJ) tallied two of the Falcons' three hits and Selmi had the other.

The Falcons found themselves with an early deficit when the Volunteers scored four runs in the bottom of the first. John A. Logan added two more runs in the bottom of the second inning with a sacrifice fly. The Falcons scored their first run of the season when Jayla Vega (Hoboken, NJ) had a RBI single, bringing Cassandra Pillard (Jefferson, NH) into home plate. John A Logan added a few more runs in the third and fifth innings to give the team a final score of 9-1.
