In the bottom half of the sixth inning, Selmi homered to left field with one out in the inning. Fisher was now down 4-2 and couldn't find a gap to place the ball.

The Fighting Saints added two more runs in the top of the seventh taking a 6-2 lead, but the Falcons held them at two runs for that inning. Cassy Pillard (Jefferson, N.H.) started a one-out rally for Fisher in the Falcons' final at-bats of the game by doubling to right field. The Falcons were unable to score her and the game was finalized with a Falcon loss of 6-2.

Vega took the loss on the mound despite only giving up eight hits, two walks, and striking out three. Five Falcons went 1-3 including Camila Da Silva (Everett, Mass.), who picked up her first collegiate softball hit.

Game 2

CSJ took a quick lead in the first inning of game two, scoring two runs taking a 2-0 lead over the Falcons. Fisher answered back in the bottom of the inning when Selmi hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Vega from third. After the first complete inning the score was 2-1, CSJ. In the top of the third inning, the Fighting Saints were able to add five runs on six hits and two errors. The Falcons had a runner on third in the third, but were unable to push her across the plate. Zimmerman, who was on the mound, forced a 1-2-3 top of the fourth. In the bottom half of the frame, Fisher again had a runner on third, but was unable to plate the run.

The Fighting Saints again added five runs to the board on a double, a single, and a three-run homerun to take a 15-1 lead.  Vega started off the bottom of the fifth with a single and advanced to second on a Pillard groundout. Selmi singled to move Vega to third who later scored on a Zimmerman single. Jade Bracero (Hoboken, N.J.) then doubled to centerfield to score Selmi and move Zimmerman to third with one out. The next two batters were retired and the game was final in five innings; 15-3 CSJ victory.

Zimmerman took the loss in the circle giving up 15 hits, walked one and struck out two. Zimmerman helped herself at the plate going 2-3. Vega (1-3), Selmi (1-3), and Bracero (1-2) helped out offensively, but it wasn't enough to keep the Fighting Saints in reach.
