Falcons Fall to Bloomfield College In Season Opener

Titusville, FL – In game one of Sunday's split doubleheader to open up their annual spring break trip to Florida, the Falcons fell to Bloomfield College, 10-5.

The Falcons got down early, allowing seven runs in the first three innings but managed to score five runs in the fourth and fifth innings combined to keep the score close for the remainder of the game.

Offensively, the Falcons were paced a 2-for-4 performance from redshirt-sophomore Kristina Brown. Brown, who missed the entire to 2015 season with a knee injury, was the 2014 A.I.I. Newcomer the Year.

Morgan Selmi, Mikayla Zimmerman, Jade Bracero, Maria Rivera and Victoria Park also picked up base knocks for Fisher.

In the circle, Zimmerman took the loss after pitching all six innings. The sophomore allowed ten runs on 14 hits and three walks. The right-hander did manage two strikeouts in the contest.

The Falcons return to action later Sunday evening when they take on Chestnut Hill College. First pitch is schedule for 6:00pm in Titusville, Florida.
