BOSTON, MASS. – Director of Athletics Scott Dulin named Caitlyn Wood the next head coach of Fisher Softball Monday morning. Wood becomes the 15th coach in the Falcons' history.

"I am very honored to be named the Head Softball Coach at Fisher College." Wood said. "I would like to thank Scott Dulin, Anthony Perry (Associate Director of Athletics), and everyone else in the hiring process at Fisher for having the trust in me to lead the program".

Wood continued, "I am excited to join the Fisher community and help the student-athletes both on and off the field. I am looking forward to building a team with a strong work ethic and team culture."

Wood makes the short commute down I-93 after spending last spring as an assistant coach at North Reading High School. As a member of the Hornets staff, she was instrumental in the overall practice planning & execution along with guiding the pitching staff.

"Caitlyn's personality, dedication and compassion for her student-athletes is going to fit perfectly with this program." said Perry, who was the interim Head Coach over the final seven weeks of the 2026 season. "Her knowledge of the game, especially pitching, and what it is like being a collegiate student-athlete in today's ever-changing landscape are two big reasons why she is going to be successful here at Fisher."

Prior to North Reading, Wood was a standout inside the circle for Curry College. A five-year member of the Colonials, she appeared in 106 games (64 starts), accumulating a 3.89 ERA while striking out 191 hitters in 392.2 innings of work.

A native of Saugus, Massachusetts, Wood graduated from Saugus High (2020) where she played all four years, was a two-year captain of the softball team and two-time all-conference member with over 500 career strikeouts. She earned her bachelor's degree from Curry College in 2024 while majoring in Sports & Recreation Management and a minor in Coaching. Wood is currently an instructor at D-Bat, an indoor baseball/softball facility in Woburn, Mass.
